Meet Our Chair Massage Therapists in Phoenix, AZ.

Our local Phoenix chair massage therapists are trained and licensed to bring an amazing seated massage and wellness experience directly to your Phoenix office or event location. Our hand-selected Phoenix massage therapists are not only professional and punctual, but also have extensive experience. Many have been working with The Back Rub Company for a decade or more.

Each Phoenix chair massage therapist expresses their Ikigai through the services they provide. Ikigai is a Japanese term blending two words: “iki” meaning “to live,” and “gai” meaning “reason”. This translates to “a reason to live”.

Ready to learn more about your local workplace massage therapists in Phoenix?

Meet Amber!

Some of Amber’s favorite chair massage events have taken her to the Phoenix Open, the Sky Harbor Airport, Arizona casinos, fundraisers, bridal showers and other corporate events. She has been a licensed massage therapist since 2008 and has worked with The Back Rub Company since that time.

She feels honored to help such a wide variety of people in Phoenix – to improve their day and make an impact on their overall health. The best piece of advice she has been given is to give yourself grace, for we are all human. If Amber were a superhero, her superpower would be to stop time and provide a much-needed break. She feels everyone deserves a moment to themselves for something that provides joy, like a rejuvenating chair massage.

Say Hi to Antoine!

Antoine works primarily in the Scottsdale and Paradise Valey areas, but also serves clients in Tempe, Chandler and Mesa. He likes the convenience of providing chair massage for people on the go, in the office anywhere massage is valued.

He loves Scottsdale for its fancy restaurant mecca with such a broad diversity of food options to suit everyone. One of his favorite activities is playing a round of mini golf at the Puttshack in Scottsdale followed by a luxurious brunch at Butters.

His Ikigai is to serve, and his career path is in perfect alignment. All the gifts and passions that flow from him are aimed at improving the spiritual and physical wellbeing of others. His job inspires him in that it is a direct result of choosing his passion as a career and having it be in perfect alignment with his Ikigai.

Antoine’s superpower would be oneness – the ability to dissolve himself from a singular entity that is infinitely capable of seeing, knowing and doing anything.

May We Introduce Dirk!

Dirk loves providing chair massages and working at various locations with a diverse group of clients. He has been a massage therapist since 2012, and works in the West Valley, Scottsdale and Tempe. He particularly enjoys events that allow him work outdoors, even if that means driving a bit further!

His favorite restaurant in the Greater Phoenix area is The Arrowhead Grill because of its local vibe and uniqueness. When he is not working with his clients, he likes to visit The Phoenix Art Museum. When he gets the opportunity to escape the city, his go-to activity is hiking in Sedona or Flagstaff.

Dirk believes his life’s purpose is multifaceted. His primary focus is loving and caring for his family, followed by easing the suffering of others. The best piece of advice he received was to create a life that he loves deeply and fiercely enough to not want to escape from it. If he had a superpower, it would be Batman’s intellect – and bank account! When he was five, he wanted to be a fighter pilot, but motion sickness tabled that dream.

Meet Janell!

Janell works with clients primarily in the East Valley and Scottsdale areas. She specializes in corporate chair massage and absolutely loves working with her clients to help them relax, relieve tension, and feel much better in just a moment of time. Self-care is health care. She loves serving clients in hospital settings as they seem to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Janell appreciates witnessing people leave her chair feeling better than they did when they first sat down – it makes her heart and hands happy! Many say she has ‘magic’ hands and even her grandmother called her hands ‘healing’ when she was first born.

She gets to do a job where everybody is excited to see her, and she gets to help make someone feel better a few minutes at a time! Her superpower would be a Super Healer, to whisk away any illness or disease and restore clients to full health.

When she was five, she wanted to be a fireman. She even dressed up as a fireman when all the other little girls were walking around as princesses! Now, she is thankful for her work as a licensed massage therapist.

Introducing Jennie Mae!

Jennie Mae has been working with clients in the central and east Valley areas since 2008. She enjoys every event she attends with The Back Rub Company. In her free time, she particularly loves Arizona Falls and day trips to Canyon Lake.

She loves the accessibility of chair massage and bringing the benefits of massage into the workplace. Her purpose in life is to bring peace to clients and allow energy to flow through her work and impact her clients and communities. This is especially true for those who experience her yoga classes, massages, breathwork or hypnosis. The most inspiring part of her job is when she sees people move a body part that they haven’t been able to and see that their pain is relieved.

If Jennie Mae had a superpower, it would be to fly. Before becoming a massage therapist, she was a flight attendant. She loves to travel and experience things from a different perspective. She is also honored by all the blessings being a mother has brought into her life. It is the most rewarding and most challenging “job” she has ever had!

Say Hi to Kurt!

Kurt is a certified personal trainer, licensed massage therapist, and Lymphstar drainage instructor. He specializes in deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage massage, cupping, and fascia stretch therapy. His career as a therapist started in 2007, and he joined The Back Rub Company team in 2009.

Kurt’s passion began in grade school with an enthusiasm for exercise. Massage came shorty after and he’s been in the health and fitness industry ever since. When he is not treating patients or training clients, Kurt rides his motorcycle, snowboards, hikes and enjoys the outdoors with his fiancée, Shelly, and dog, Zeegy.

Introducing Michelle!

Michelle took on a second career as a massage therapist, and it has been one of the best things she has ever done. She has been a licensed massage therapist and has been working with The Back Rub Company since 2007.

Michelle loves providing chair massage because it is a safe way to introduce massage (calling it the “appetizer”), and can help clients get through their workday with a renewed vigor. As an avid foodie, her assignments throughout Maricopa County allow her to experience the Valley and check out different restaurants. One of her favorite restaurants is Paul Martin’s in Scottsdale. When not working, she volunteers in her community and enjoys the beauty of Arizona.

Say Hello to Sonia!

Sonia has worked with The Back Rub Company’s clients around the greater Phoenix area since 2005 and appreciates the new people she gets to meet every day.

Her career, dating back to 2004, provides the opportunity to visit various locations to meet her clients throughout the Valley. When she is working with clients, she enjoys knowing that she is providing a moment in that employee’s busy workday to feel better and relieve an ache or pain that has been bothering them. This knowledge sparks joy for her.

Here Is Tamra!

Tamra is thankful for what The Back Rub Company does and how the company impacts the communities in Arizona and around the US. Chair massage is a great entry into personal care. She loves how she can impact clients and how much better they can feel in a few short minutes.

She has lived in Phoenix-Metro area all her life. The accessibility of Arizona is something she appreciates. Her favorite places for day trips are Jerome and Bisbee, as well as Winslow and the La Posada hotel.

Tamra is generally the one who clears all the plates at a big dinner and chats along the way, amazed at how this simple act connects others. She also enjoys sewing, cooking, canning, raising chickens and tending a garden.

The most profound advice she received was from her mom: circumstances and situations do color life, but you have been given the mind to choose what that color will be.

The most inspiring part of her job is seeing changes in mental and physical health, not only in her clients, but also in herself. She feels that she is a much better person when she is working with clients and their wellbeing.

Meet Whitney!

Whitney is originally from Chicago but wanted a change of scenery (and weather). Although chair massages are short, they are an excellent introduction to massage. For people who have never had a massage, she takes her time to show them the beauty and benefits of massage.

She’s sure she will be a massage therapist until the end of time. She is a guide, and that’s how she views her love for this work. Being a massage therapist is her Ikigai – to serve and share her talent and passion with others. She is a huge travel lover, and has visited Indonesia, Morocco, Costa Rica, Peru, The Bahamas and more. Whitney plans to open up a retreat space in Bali, to teach others the benefits of massage. She provides a safe space for people to come and experience the beauty of massage away from distractions.

Massage, significantly chair massage, has allowed her to meet and connect with amazing people! The best piece of advice she was given was from her grandfather. He told her years ago, “Enjoy your life and explore the world now while you’re young and can enjoy the beauty of it.”
