“Do you offer sound healing sessions?”
Before COVID, we would have never received a request like this. Sound baths cross over into the “woo-woo” category, along with other New Age theories like healing crystals, energy work, vision boards and essential oils. However, the residual effects of working remotely, losing connection with others and stress from the pandemic has caused employers to take a hard look at their teams’ mental well-being.
Depression, anxiety, overwhelm and stress are being reported more than ever before, and employers are reaching for solutions.
Is it time for you to recharge, reset, and bring back balance to your life? A sound bath might be what is needed. It’s like taking a bath, but for your mind and body. During a sound bath meditation session, participants listen to a combination of calming sounds created by a trained sound healer using a variety of instruments – these sounds are a great way to help clear away the clutter of unpleasant thoughts and worries.
Are sound baths new? Absolutely not. This ancient healing practice started centuries ago in civilizations like Egypt, Greece, and India and showed that sound had powerful effects to heal and connect people with their spiritual essence. They used sound healing techniques like chanting, singing bowls, and tuning forks to create a harmonious environment for the body to heal itself.
The goal of sound baths is to induce a deep state of relaxation and stress reduction. The effectiveness may vary, but many people report significant benefits:
- Increased concentration and focus.
- Improved mood
- Improved sleep quality
- Reduced anxiety
- Reduce pain
- Reduced stress
With the constant pressures of work and home, people are reporting more stress and anxiety than ever before. At The Back Rub Company we offer meditation and mindfulness sessions, including sound baths.
We can create a customized program for your next corporate event or employee appreciation program. Promote Relaxation & Mindfulness for Increased Focus & Creativity with The Back Rub Company. Contact The Back Rub Company to learn more.

Up the coast to the Outer Banks, past Kitty Hawk and into the Inner Harbor of Baltimore was where we set up next. This is also where my car was broken into and EVERY SINGLE THING I owned, except for my massage table, was stolen. I donned a new wardrobe made up of thrift store finds the remainder of the tour.
Each city hosts an opening night party when Cirque comes to town. The best, by far, was hosted in Baltimore.
Our tour also took us to New York City and Fire Island to visit the cast from another touring show, Varekai, one of the best Cirque shows I’ve ever seen. This was my first time in the Big Apple, and it did not disappoint. From Times Square to trying to navigate the subway, I wouldn’t have wanted to experience it any other wa
