Corporate Chair Massage and Chair Massage Events |
What is a chair massage?
A chair massage is a 5-30 minute a fully clothed, no-oil or lotion treatment of the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands that relieves symptomatic effects of work-related stress. The massage is performed on a specialized portable massage chair that allows you to sit facing forward, with your head cradled by a comfy face rest.
How much space is needed for a chair massage at my office?
Very little space is required. A small 6’x 6’ space provides the necessary space for our massage therapists to work. A small office or conference room will allow more privacy.
Will on-site massage disrupt my workplace?
No way! We work quietly in an unused room, quiet corner or completely out of the way. Sessions are short and take no longer than a coffee break. Productivity will actually increase.
What is your hygiene policy for your massage therapists?
Our professional massage therapists place a premium on hygiene. The massage chair is wiped down with disinfectant after every client. The therapists also apply a fresh, clean face-rest cover and sanitize their hands between massages.
What if I want more or less pressure?
Communication is key - simply tell the massage therapist. They can adapt their techniques to a wide variety of body types and preferences.
Can I have the therapist work on just one area?
At the beginning of the massage the therapist will ask if you have any specific concerns. If you'd like the massage therapist to focus on one specific area, just ask.
Will a chair massage make me sleepy?
Employees will return to work more awake and alert with a fresh focus, a better attitude and improved productivity. Research actually shows that employees who receive regular massage work faster and with fewer errors. They will be able to tackle the rest of their day with more energy!
Are gratuities or tips expected?
Gratuities are not expected or necessary, but they are appreciated if given. If you do choose to tip, the average amount is 10-20%.
I'm pregnant. Can I still get a chair massage?
Sure! Massage is very beneficial for women during pregnancy. Make sure to let the massage therapist know so they can assure your safety and comfort, especially if you are in your first trimester. If you cannot comfortably fit facing forward in the massage chair, it’s quite conformable to turn and sit the other way, too!
Are there contraindications for chair massage?
Most healthy people are able to receive massage. However, there are some medical contraindications that may include: fever, uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, fractures/breaks, herniated discs, malignancy and numbness or tingling in any part of the body. Be sure to inform your massage therapist of any health conditions you may have if you are unsure.
How long should each massage session be?
For trade-shows and events, it’s good to start out with 10-minute chair massages and then adjust them according to foot traffic. For corporate chair massage, 15 to 20-minutes is usually recommended.
Is chair massage covered by my health care plan?
Generally, chair massage is not covered unless your plan includes “Individual Discretionary Funds,” which cover other items like nutritional counseling or fitness club memberships. You can always check with your insurance company. We can provide receipts for insurance reimbursement.
How many massage therapists will we need?
There are a number of factors that determine how many therapists you will need for your event. Theses factors include expected number of attendees/foot traffic, available space and your budget. Just give us a call or fill out our online quote form and we can help determine the best strategy.
How far in advance should we schedule with you?
This depends on the size and location of your event. Smaller events can be scheduled a few days in advance. However, larger events require a little more time – two weeks is optimal.

All of our therapists are carefully screened, have a minimum of two-years experience, are thoroughly trained, certified and licensed in their state. Our therapists will arrive in tan or black pants with our company polo or a plain white or black polo. You may also supply therapists with different attire or shirts with your company logo.
Can you provide an attendant/check-in staff for our event?

What if someone confirms their spa treatment but doesn't show up to the event?
We understand that things happen, but we book our practitioners for the entire event. Our full fee is expected even if a guest doesn't show up. You or your guests can choose to receive extra treatments to fulfill the missed time.
What if a guest is late for their massage or spa treatment?

In-Clinic Massage
What can I expect during my first appointment at your clinic?
Please make sure to arrive to your first session at least 10-minutes early so you can fill out an intake form. After reviewing your form, you and your massage therapist will determine your treatment goals for the session. The lights will be dimmed and the therapist will pay music to help you relax during your massage. Your therapist will ask you to undress to your comfort level, get on the table and cover yourself completely with the sheet. Your massage therapist will then leave the room and will knock before re-entering. When your massage is over, your therapist will leave the room so you may take a few moments for yourself and get dressed.
This is my first massage. I’m nervous.
It’s completely normal to be nervous during your first massage, and maybe even your second or third. During your massage, your therapist will ask about your comfort levels, pressure, temperature, etc. Communication is key! Please let your massage therapist know if the pressure is too much or too little and if you are too warm or too cold. This ensures that you receive the best treatment possible. Feel free to drift away during your session. Some clients even fall asleep. Enjoy your massage with the knowledge that you are being good to your body.
Do I have to get completely undressed?
Your therapist will ask you to undress to your level of comfort. Proper draping is practiced at all times, meaning only the area being massage is exposed at one time. All other areas will remain covered. Generally, most clients prefer to completely undress, some choose to leave their underwear on. It’s completely up to you.
Will my massage be painful?
Many people have the belief that in order for a massage to be beneficial, it has to be painful. In other words, your therapist should dig in and "get those muscles." Often times, this type of massage causes you to tighten up even more, which is the brain's response to help avoid muscle injury. Although our therapists provide deep tissue massage, our philosophy is to facilitate healing through a relaxing and therapeutic approach. While you may experience some slight discomfort during your session, it should not be painful. Your massage therapist will ask several times during your session whether the pressure is okay. So that you receive the best treatment possible, please be honest with your therapist (and yourself) about your level of comfort or discomfort. Massage does not have to be painful to be beneficial.
Why is it beneficial for me to drink water after my massage?
Water will help flush toxins from your body that were released during your massage. It also helps to ground you after your session and just tastes good. Be sure to drink plenty of water for a few days after your massage to continue the cleansing process.
Do you provide in-home massages?
Yes, we do. This is a wonderful treat and many of our clients enjoy this option, as they can roll right off the massage table and into bed! The therapist will provide their massage table, linens and lotion/oil. You will need ample space to set up the massage table and allow enough room to move around it.
Are gratuities or tips expected?
Gratuities are not expected or necessary, but they are appreciated if given. If you do choose to tip, the average amount is 10-20%.
