Wellness Fair Brings Better Health
The Wellness Fair held at Paragon Plaza on 7th Street in Phoenix last week was a huge success. Ms. Tiffany Richards, owner of The Back Rub Company, put the event together with the help of her staff, and was ecstatic about the turn out of people in the community and the surrounding area of Phoenix.
When you get the opportunity to come to a Health Fair, you better take advantage of it. The Wellness fair included free chair massages, spinal health screenings, yoga, Pilates and spin classes, nutritional counseling, blood pressure checks and reflexology sessions with Los Angles Master Reflexologist, Jason Thatcher.
As a reporter covering this event, I had the opportunity to experience some of the benefits they had to offer along with talking to some of the people who attended the free health seminars and the massaging masters.
If you had not had a reflexologist attend to your feet, you don’t know what you’re missing! This was my first reflexology session, and it will not be my last. I learned that the human foot has 7,000 nerve endings, and now I know how important my feet are.
The chair massages provided by Shawna Steveson, were so relaxing that a couple of clients were on the verge of falling asleep. I also had a doctor from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture administer Oriental Integrative Medicine to me. Acupuncture is America’s fastest-growing healthcare method.
