Denise grew up in Southern California and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, with a degree in Merchandise Product Development. While there she discovered her passion for yoga, which ultimately changed her path. Denise finished her 200-hour YogaWorks Teacher Training program with teachers James Brown and Amy Lafond. She completed her 300-hour YogaWorks Professional Program as an apprentice to Carmen Fitzgibbon. During her teacher trainings she was educated in the theory and practice of asana, pranayama, philosophy of yoga, anatomy, as well as specifics of teaching yoga. She is Yoga Alliance registered as well as CPR Certified in Adults, Children, and Infants. Denise currently lives in the Los Angeles area with her son David, who she says will always be her most influential yoga practice. |
