Originally from Jefferson City, Missouri, Laurie has lived in the Kansas City area for many years. With a background as a special education teacher of physically challenged students for 20 years, Laurie’s desire to help others, along with an interest in alternative therapies led her to study massage therapy. Laurie graduated from BMSI Institute, and has been a licensed massage therapist since 2001. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Some of the massage techniques she uses include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Reflexology. In addition to massage, she has also studied Reiki and Healing Touch energy therapies. She has helped many busy clients relax and recharge by providing massage in a variety of settings, and customizes each massage to meet the needs and preferences of each client. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys being outdoors, photography, gardening, going to movies, trying Indian recipes, reading, and a balance of solitude and spending time with friends and family. |
